1. Why verification is required
Know Your Customer, Know Your Business and anti-money-laundering controls help BREAIX and its customers understand who is participating, who controls an organization, what the relationship is for and whether the activity creates an unacceptable risk.
Verification is not a commercial endorsement or a guarantee that a counterparty will perform. It is one layer of risk management that may be combined with document, sanctions, quality, financial, logistics and transaction-specific checks.
2. Information and verification steps
Depending on role, country, product and risk, BREAIX may request identity information, corporate registration, ownership and control details, authority to act, business purpose, licensing, tax or regulatory information, source-of-funds context and supporting documents.
The review may include document authenticity checks, consistency checks, beneficial-owner analysis, adverse-information research, politically exposed person screening, sanctions screening and requests for clarification. The depth of review may increase when risk signals or material changes appear.
3. Monitoring and decisions
A review can produce approval, approval with restrictions, a request for more information, enhanced review, a temporary hold or a refusal. BREAIX may reassess a participant when ownership, management, country, activity, documents or transaction behavior changes.
Monitoring is intended to identify patterns that require human review, not to declare that a person is guilty. A risk signal should be handled proportionately, confidentially and with an opportunity to correct inaccurate information where the law and process allow.
4. User responsibilities and confidentiality
Users must submit authentic documents, answer questions completely, notify BREAIX of material changes and avoid coaching another person to evade a review. A user must not disclose confidential investigation information when doing so could compromise a control or violate law.
KYC and AML information should be accessed only by authorized people with a legitimate need. Retention, sharing and deletion are subject to applicable data protection, anti-money-laundering, recordkeeping and contractual requirements.
